Hypnosis Student

Congratulations on taking the first steps to becoming a hypnotist or hypnotherapist!

There are many options open to you, from being a clinical hypnotherapist to a stage hypnotist, or both! While many students become full time hypnotists, there are also many other professionals, often health professionals that add hypnotherapy to the treatment “tool-box”.

With this in mind, you will often find that many people doing hypnosis courses do not tend to be first year college students, but instead often tend to be people qualified in a range of professions such as medical, nursing, dental, psychology or people looking for a change of direction in their professional life.

As a student the most practical advice that can be given is to make sure you are doing an hypnosis course that is qualified by independent associations. Most graduates choose to become member of a Guild or Association. It is extremely frustrating to find that the school you attended does not automatically qualify you to become a member and instead you must do more study hours or take additional written, demonstration and oral tests.

The next piece of advice will be to never stop learning, and your professional association may require you do a certain amount of Continuing or Ongoing education each year to maintain your membership. You may have already paid thousands of dollars to do your course, so here are some free tools to assist you.
