Hypno Birthing

Approximately 12-17 percent of pregnancies ends up in miscarriages eight out of 10 miscarriages occur before this second trimester. Misconception is different with that of stillbirth. Stillbirth, on the other hand is the lost of a foetus after 20 weeks of pregnancy.

As for the possible causes of miscarriages, many literatures postulate many possible etiologies. Most researchers attributed that up to 6 out of 10 first trimester miscarriages are due to, possibly abnormalities within the chromosomal genetic framework in the fertilized egg. Something is wrong with the eggs.

Going by this definition, chromosomal abnormal eggs or sperms had the wrong number of chromosomes, and accruing from this, the fertilized egg can't develop normally. The egg malformed. On other occasions, the egg does not implant properly in the embryo or the uterus, causing a significant structural defect that do not allow it to continue developing. At other times, these writers does not know why in some cases of miscarriages, the causes remains unknown in about half of cases. The good news is that once you can hear your baby's heartbeat (detectable after 6 weeks or in 40 days after zygote), your odds of having a miscarriage drop significantly. This time scale is crucial for mothers-to-be.

What are the predisposing factors for miscarriage?
There are some known factors that might predispose a miscarriage. Here, inter-alia, are some of the most common risk factors:

Age: It is important to have children when one is able to. Youth always work in one's favour. Do not wait for the thief of time to rob you of this priviledge. When one becomes 40, you are more likely, it fact twice as likely to miscarry. Some even say that if you are too young, you carry the same risk. This applies to those below 20. This may be due to the chromosomal disorder. History of miscarriages: Women, with history of numerous abortions and/or miscarriages are more likely to experience miscarriage. Statistics does not favour women with numerous abortions to conceive. It is advisable not to have multiple abortions if you desire to have children. Known diseases or disorders: Certain diseases are also known culprits in harnessing successful pregnancy. Poorly controlled diabetes, certain inherited blood clotting disorders (hemophilia, thalassemia), certain autoimmune disorders (such as antiphosphilipid syndrome or systemic lupus erythematosus) and certain hormonal disorders (such as polycystic ovary syndrome) will increase the likelihood of miscarriages. Uterine or cervical problems: Weaken and abonormal uterine walls or a weak or abnormally short cervix (known as cervical insufficiency) are also to be blamed for apregnancies in many women. A history of birth defects or genetic problems: Having had a child with a birth defect, or a family history (or a partner with a family history) of genetic problems. Additionally, research has shown a somewhat higher risk for miscarriage if you have listeria, mumps, rubella, measles, cytomegalovirus, parvovirus, gonorrhea, HIV, and certain other infections. Smoking, drinking, and using drugs: Smoking, drinking too much, drugs like cocaine and ecstasy during pregnancy can increase the risk of miscarriage. Taking certain medications: Some medications have been linked to increased risk of miscarriage, so it's important to ask your doctor and/or caregiver about the safety of any medications you're taking. Exposure to environmental toxins: Environmental factors that might increase your risk include lead; arsenic; some chemicals, like formaldehyde, benzene, and ethylene oxide; and large doses of radiation or anesthetic gases.

What are the signs and symptoms of a possible miscarriage?

  1. Vaginal spotting or bleeding is usually the first sign of miscarriage. However some bleeding (even seen in 1:4 pregnant women) in early pregnancy does not necessarily mean there will be a miscarriage.
  2. You may also have abdominal pain, which usually begins after you first have some bleeding. It may feel crampy or persistent, mild or sharp, or may feel more like low back pain or pelvic pressure. If you have both bleeding and pain, the chances of your pregnancy continuing are much lower.

What should I do if I suspect I'm about to miscarry?
Call your doctor or midwife immediately if you ever notice unusual symptoms such as bleeding or cramping during pregnancy. Your practitioner will examine you to see if the bleeding is coming from your cervix and check your uterus. She may also do a blood test to check for the pregnancy hormone hCG and repeat it in two to three days to see if your levels are rising as they should be.

If you're showing signs of a possible miscarriage, your doctor or midwife may prescribe bedrest in hopes of reducing your chances of miscarrying - but there's no evidence that bedrest will help. She may also suggest you not have sex while you're having bleeding or cramping. Sex doesn't cause miscarriage, but it's a good idea to abstain if you're having these symptoms.

Managing miscarried. How can hypnotherapists help one to cope with miscarriage?
Blocked emotions or past experiences may be having an effect on your fertility through your subconscious. All emotions cause a chemical reaction in the body, like for example when you are sad, chemicals go off and you cry, or when you are in love, chemicals go off and your stomach feels nervous or your reproductive areas get extra circulation. Even if the emotions were first experienced when you were a child, there is consequences on the adult person.

The subconscious mind stores these emotions and may still be reacting to them, without you consciously knowing it. Experiences that have happened in our lives can affect our bodily functions, like metabolism (can't lose weight no matter how you eat) or unexplained recurrent miscarriage. The examples are infinite, because each person is so different. Even if you can't remember what the situation was or when it happened. Mind-body therapies can help to clear those blockages that may be having an effect on your fertility.
